Sex Work: It's Just a Job

  • Esperanza Peace & Justice Center 922 San Pedro Avenue San Antonio, TX, 78212 United States (map)

Join us for the screening of the documentary "Sex Work: It's Just a Job" on Saturday, August 23 at 7 PM.

SEX WORK: It’s Just a Job, a 56-minute documentary, is about the struggle to decriminalize sex work through an ensemble of people who work or have worked in the sex trades. The film critiques the misinformation that wrongly conflates consensual sex work with sex trafficking and criminal activities in straightforward and refreshingly accessible ways. It is an uplifting story of honesty, solidarity, strong alliances, and human warmth. At the heart of this struggle is a commitment to confront the racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia that drive much of law enforcement.

Following the film there will be a conversation with community representatives, former and current sex workers, and the makers of the film. This event is a collaboration with ACT 4 SA and The Pride Center SA.
